About Us
Your Narrative is a child and family focused psychology and behaviour support service providing support to children, teenagers, and young people with disability, neurodivergence, and mental health challenges across the Gold Coast.
We take a strengths based, relationship focused approach, recognising that every young person has their own unique story, strengths, and way of experiencing the world. Our support is tailored to each individual, helping them build emotional wellbeing, confidence, independence, and practical skills in ways that feel safe, respectful, and meaningful.
As a mobile service, we provide therapy and behaviour support in homes, schools, and community settings, creating opportunities for support to occur where young people feel most comfortable and where meaningful change can happen in everyday life.
Your Narrative is led by Ellisa Harrison, a registered psychologist with Honours qualifications in Psychology and extensive experience supporting children, adolescents, and families. Ellisa is passionate about helping young people navigate life's challenges through genuine connection, evidence based practice, and collaborative support.
Our Story
For us, psychology is not just sitting and talking. It can also look like jumping on trampolines, getting messy in the dirt, painting with hands covered in colour, or sharing laughter during play, all while gently exploring the challenges that life brings. We value both conversation and experience, using each child’s natural environment and interests to support genuine engagement, connection, and understanding.
Too often, therapy is imagined as something that happens in a clinical room, separate from real life. We exist to challenge that idea. By stepping outside traditional settings and embracing everyday environments, play, and lived experience, we make support more accessible, more natural, and more connected to the world children actually live in.
At the heart of everything we do is connection. Building trusting, collaborative relationships with children and families that feel safe, respectful, and meaningful. We exist to help children and young people better understand themselves, feel confident in who they are, and recognise their unique strengths, without ever needing to change who they are.
